I am getting married in December and over the last year put on 2 stone through comfortable (but fun) living.
I have started going to the gym during the week, and mountain biking at the weekends (which I love), but it's all fairly sporadic at the moment.
I work long hours (sat on my bum at a computer) and need a fixed set of rules to help myself achieve my goal weight in time for the wedding!
That's where traineo comes in...

Hopefully I'll be posting a pic of me looking slim and fit in a wedding dress next year!

only 5 lbs to go... bring on the summer :o)
going for my first session on thursday so will see how we go...
Hoping to be back to the gym next week properly, depending on how quickly I heal.
Must try and watch the calories even more while the excercise is limited.
My diet was lazy last week too, pancake day is too good to miss though!
Any tips on how to up my game are muchly appreciated - only 6 weeks to go until I want to hit that goal!
Jess x
Passed the 1 st mark - and completely smashed it too!
Woooohooooo!!!!!!!!
Ok Dave - get your curly pube like wig out and get riding mate!
can't wait to see the photos!!

I'm sure you'll hit that goal before you can say 'shamelessly transparent reverse psychology' ;)
I'm defo getting there slowly - clothes starting to fit better and feeling more confident about myself.
It's such a buzz when people notice!
Routine really helps, trying not to eat too late like you said, but I don't finish work til nearly 7 so sometimes it's 9 before I have dinner.
If you spent as much time on your bike as you did making Bogdan vids (or whatever he's called) you'd look like Lance Armstrong in no time! ;o)
just been reading the thread on lights on MTB forum. Evening riding would have to be on the cycle path along the sea front, but will still be getting out at the weekends on the trails so don't worry. I only have the one bike (my Spesh FSR XC), and it has some huge mother tyres on it, but I guess they'll just make me pedal harder right?
ok will have a look for some cheap lights...
Thanks for the encouragement chaps ;o)
Cycling in winter is cool (forgive the pun!) - for one thing, because it's colder, your body works harder to keep you warm so you burn more calories. The main reason though is that it gets dark early and night riding is huge amounts of fun! :D
although I did weigh myself on a mates scales on sat and I was 2lb lighter than a few weeks ago... but after dave's experience, who knows if the scales were true, or how they compare.
So... I'm gonna start again with my new ones so at least I can keep track of my progress now.
Thanks for nagging me KurvZ, I'd never have got them otherwise.
also me and the man are joining the gym at the end of the month (something to do when the winter sets in and the thought of going out in the wind and the rain makes me wanna curl up on the sofa with a bumper bar of dairy milk - I feel a chocolate theme going on here!)
off for a swim tonight..... :o)
now of late I have floundered a bit with my Hols etc , but as of monday Im going to get back to my Routine as that was instrumental in my weight loss previously ..
i wish you luck and will keep a eye on you , and I hope all the wedding plans go as planned :) ... Dave
